The California Franchise Tax Board recently revealed that former Dancing With the Stars and Baywatch star Pamela Anderson owes the state nearly a half million dollars in unpaid taxes.  For her part, the TV star says that she is doing her best to pay back the taxes she owes and resolve the situation with the state of California.
She sent a message to her fans in which she referred to her tax problems as an “embarrassing situation” that was “outside of my control.” But state tax problems are not the only financial worries Anderson is facing. She is also being sued by Maggy London International for trademark infringement over the name of her new clothing line, and is in a dispute with building contractors over $1 million in work done to her home.
All these troubles could indicate that Anderson is heading for worse financial woes in the near future, although the actress insists that she is “financially secure.” But a string of bad luck that causes financial problems can come up as suddenly for celebrities as for hard-working everyday people, and have the same devastating emotional and legal effects.
